Alternate world writer friends, let us introduce to you Jeff Kildow. Jeff will be one of our featured Colorado authors this month at the Words and Youth Writing Conference on October 24th.
Jeff Kildow began writing in junior high school, but never published the many short stories and novelettes he wrote out of fear of criticism. After four years in the Air Force, he attended engineering school where he was editor of the science fiction magazine. During a long career as an aerospace engineer, he continued to write in secret as he amassed a large library of aviation and military histories. He is an expert on the aircraft of WWII, Korea, and the Cold War. He is a member of ACFW and CIPA, and a former officer of the ACFW South Denver chapter.
His first published book, America Under Attack, is a WWII alternative history and the first in a series of Air Force officer Joel Knight adventures. Against seemingly impossible odds, Germany sends a force of flying wing bombers to attack America’s Eastern seaboard. Joel leads a desperate defense of America’s cities with obsolete airplanes and untested tactics. With the invaluable help of a beautiful school teacher, he must prepare for the inevitable follow-on attacks. To date, America Under Attack has sold in excess of 2000 copies.
